June took home one and washed the Rose of York shawl, and put it to dry in the store on one of our antique hap boards. What a treat to see it all bright and lovely after some TLC.
Hjaltland - Old Norse (read: Old Romantic) name for Shetland.
Halo - the oh-so-technical term given to the fairy like haze that floats above real Shetland wool, created by the extra fine fibres.
= probably 'the' most natural, sustainable fibre.... ever.
